Bring Me to Seuss Land!

So I started a big project this summer! It is the largest blank canvas I have ever worked on. At my work, there was a dreary white room which was supposed to serve as a cozy recreational area for children with psychiatric issues. But this room was by far cozy and warm! How can we call this room the Cozy Corner?! So I decided I wanted to transform this room into a cozy and nurturing environment for the children by painting a huge mural! This was my first mural I have ever did. It took while to decide on what theme to paint this room, but with the guidance of my coworkers, I decided a Dr. Seuss theme!
I didn’t have any set plan or layout before I began painting this mural. All I had was an idea and one book, "Oh The Places You'll Go" and a fuel in body to create! When I got all my Dr. Seuss sample paint, I sat there with white pants (great day to where white pants) and stared at the wall. It was intimidating but I tried not to over think and intsead I just started by exploring with colors and marks. Next, I picked up the book, "Oh The Places You'll Go" and flipped through the pages to get some inspiration. The page that caught my eye was the well-known page displaying the little guy in a hot air balloon and a bright yellow castle in the background. It hit me, this was what I should paint. So Seuss Land begun...
